Demonstrated Impact: Turning Ideas into Actionable Change
🌍 Making Sustainability Scalable
Impact isn’t just about starting initiatives—it’s about measurable results. From developing AI-driven food waste solutions to advocating for gender-responsive policies, I focus on data-driven, scalable, and locally adaptable solutions that create lasting change.
Below are some of the key ways my work has translated into impact across communities, businesses, and global advocacy networks.

📌 Planet Plate: AI-Powered Food Waste Reduction
💡 Problem: Food waste contributes to 8-10% of global carbon emissions, yet most individuals lack the tools to track and reduce spoilage.
✅ What I Did:
✔ Developed Planet Plate, an AI-driven platform that analyzes grocery receipts and provides personalized food storage recommendations.
✔ Conducted user testing in Caribbean households, refining the technology based on regional food habits and cultural preferences.
🔜 Next Steps: Expanding Planet Plate into Latin America & Africa, securing partnerships with universities and food retailers, and integrating predictive spoilage detection.

📌 Gender Equity: Empowering Women in Leadership & Policy
💡 Problem: Women in the Caribbean face significant barriers to political and economic leadership, with limited opportunities for mentorship and policy influence.
✅ What I Did:
✔ Trained 55 young women in parliamentary leadership through the Young Women in Leadership Training, equipping them with hands-on experience in governance.
✔ Led a Gender-Based Violence Awareness Campaign, reaching 300+ individuals in rural communities.
✔ Co-developed ‘Youth Connect’, an app that has educated thousands of young people in Trinidad & Tobago about HIV/AIDS and reproductive health.
📊 Impact:
🔹 Several program graduates have entered leadership roles in advocacy, law, and policy.
🔹 Increased engagement in gender-based violence prevention discussions among rural communities.
🔹 Secured policy discussions on gender-responsive climate action through high-level advocacy efforts.
🔜 Next Steps: Integrating climate action into gender equity programs.

📌 Circular Economy & Climate Action: Changing the Way We Manage Waste
💡 Problem: Waste mismanagement in Small Island Developing States (SIDS) leads to flooding, health crises, and lost economic opportunities.
✅ What I Did:
✔ Designed and tested composting bins in India, using 100% natural materials, reducing landfill dependency.
✔ Led the SOAR (Sisters Organizing & Advancing Recycling) initiative in Ghana, training young climate leaders.
✔ Conducted research on waste-to-energy solutions, with policy recommendations for Caribbean circular economy development.
📊 Impact:
🔹 Composting bins successfully adopted in Palghar, India, with improved waste processing efficiency.
🔹 50+ students in Ghana trained as SOAR Animators, leading community-based recycling efforts.
🔹 Developed policy insights on sustainable waste-to-energy models, currently being used to support legislative discussions in the Caribbean.
🔜 Next Steps: Scaling SOAR’s model into Bangladesh and Latin America and developing waste-to-energy advocacy frameworks for small island nations.
🚀 Scaling Impact for the Future
Creating meaningful change isn’t just about one project—it’s about systems-level transformation. My focus remains on scaling sustainable solutions, integrating data into policymaking, and building global networks that empower the next generation of changemakers.
🔹 Expanding Planet Plate to serve students, families, and businesses globally.
🔹 Training more youth leaders in sustainability, social impact, and policy advocacy.
Sustainability is global. Solutions must be, too.
